National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) is a key time in Australia’s national calendar where communities come together and reflect and assess where they are on the Reconciliation journey. For some, you may be at the beginning, for others, you may have made key changes in the way you work with and welcome First Nations people.

RE-ELECTION OF FR PETER JONES OSA AS AUGUSTINIAN PROVINCIAL
Fr Peter Jones has been re-elected as Augustinian Provincial for the coming four years. We congratulate Fr Peter and assure him of our prayers. He is to visit the South Yarra community after Easter.

The Australian Bishops have prepared a prayer for peace in the Ukraine which may be viewed here.
Caritas Australia is conducting an appeal for Ukrainian refugees through their website. You may also contribute to Project Compassion. https://www.caritas.org.au
Project Compassion focuses on the theme “For all future generations” bringing thousands of Australian schools, parishes and supporters together to raise funds for people living in some of the most vulnerable communities across the world. This week we highlight in particular the refugees of the conflict in the Ukraine. The usual envelopes and boxes are available for your Lenten offerings
