Each baptized person is called by God to participate in the mission of Jesus. We have all been given gifts and talents not intended only for ourselves; God always intended that those gifts be shared. The variety of calls is rich.
Most people are called to marriage, some people are called to be single, and others are called to be religious sisters, brothers, priests or deacons. All these vocations are equal and make up the Body of Christ.
Those who are called to be priests or deacons are to be at the service of the other baptized in the Church.
Knowing God’s call in your life is a process of discernment. It can be hard to know where we are being called to use our gifts.
